New Interpretation Panels and Booklet
Thanks to generous funding by JG Graves Charitable Trust and the Hallamshire Branch of Soroptimists International we were able to work with local historian Mike Higginbottom and graphic designer Ann Beedham to produce a set of ten detailed interpretation panels that tell the fascinating story of the graveyard and church. We are very grateful to the members and organisations who helped us with research and images especially Sheffield Archives and Picture Sheffield.
We have now published a high quality full colour booklet "The Story of Zion Graveyard" price £5 plus postage and packing. To order a copy please email ziongraveyard@gmail.com stating the number of copies required and your name, address and postcode. You will receive a reply by return giving payment options.
Working in the Graveyard
Thanks to the kind co-operation of our neighbour David Grey, Executive chairman of G&J Hall, the fence across Mary Anne Rawson's grave has now been removed. It looks so much better! Come and see!
Our volunteers usually open the graveyard for maintenance and gardening on the Wednesday before our Open Afternoons which are on the second Sunday of the month.
If you are planning a visit please check our Facebook page to make sure we are open or for further information please call 07980 143776.
