Updates on activities and progress

Snowdrop fundraiser 14 July 2019

The weather was kind and we welcomed many visitors and friends old and new to browse bric a brac, books and plants; to take part in games and fabric printing; buy Dreams of Zion crafts and Attercliffe poems; relax with a drink and cake; and to learn about the Snowdrop Project and the Zion Graveyard.

Thanks to the work and support of volunteers and the kind donations the event we raised £276.50 for Snowdrop and £68.30 for Zion Graveyard funds, an amazing total of £344.80.

Many thanks to all who contributed, especially Paul Grayson, a past resident of Attercliffe now living in Australia who wrote a booklet of poems entitled Attercliffe Revisited, copies of which were sold to raise funds for Zion graveyard.

Looking forward to our forthcoming Zion Bazaar on Sunday 15th September, 2 - 5pm.  Do come and join us.

Working in the Graveyard

Thanks to the kind co-operation of our neighbour David Grey, Executive chairman of G&J Hall,  the fence across Mary Anne Rawson's grave has now been removed. It looks so much better!  Come and see!
We have been working with Julie Riley of Wildscapes to develop a detailed  management plan that will enable access to the graves but maintain a safe haven for wildlife. You can read download the full report here but beware if printing - it is 65 pages long
